About Danielle Scala
My passion has always been public health. My main career goal is improvement of access to care for children and adolescents. My experiences in the acute care setting taught me the importance of initiating health promotion and education at an early age. I currently work as a school nurse where I developed and taught a health risk prevention course and coordinate preventative care visits for at risk students. It is very rewarding to see how small changes in health behaviors can have significant impacts on students ability to learn and their quality of life.
