About Danielle Simmons

As an avid reader from a young age, I have always been intrigued by ideas. New ideas, old ideas, crazy ideas, whatever pops into your head. New avenues created in the mind deserve some worthwhile attention to see if they pan out. Within the political and legal fields, ideas are essential. They must be used to advance our society and develop a stronger nation as a whole. We must encourage people, especially the young, to not damper their ideas, so we can consistently evolve our practices. During my time at Auburn University, I have been asked many times to come up with and share my ideas. By May of 2024, I will have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theatre with a minor in Spanish. In addition to my degree, I will have the official signature on sharing my ideas in the professional world. After some time in the professional working sphere, I plan to begin attending law school. I hope to pursue a career as a Criminal Prosecutor and continue to spread my ideas to ensure justice within our courts. Outside my classroom duties, I spend my time as a member of the Auburn University Mock Trial Competition Team competing in mock civil and criminal cases to develop skills found in a courtroom. Year after year, we have to come up with our own solutions to both prosecute and defend a complicated case. Additionally, I am a member of AU Players, a student-led theater organization that I help to put on theatrical-related activities and productions. In my free time, I like to read novels and watch films for creative inspiration, as well as hang out with my cats, Minerva and Stewie.(I have many pictures of them if you're interested.) Right now, I aim to spread my skills and gain essential experience in the legal and political sphere before finishing my undergraduate degree. I am a sponge ready to soak up the world!
