About Danielle Simon

I'm a student with a strong interest in sports media, entertainment, and media production, currently studying at the University of British Columbia. With hands-on experience in fan engagement, social media management, sports photography, and journalism, I've developed a deep love and appreciation for the power of sports in bringing diverse groups of people together. Currently, I serve as a Social Media Coordinator for UBC Football, where I plan, develop, and create high-impact digital content that has reached thousands of fans across platforms. I also create content through roles as a contributing writer for Sports + Rec for The Ubyssey and as part of UBC’s Content Creators Program, where my work has garnered over views. My freelance sports photography business,@daniellexsports (formerly known as @daniellesimon.png), has led me to cover premier events like the USPORTS Men’s and Women’s Final 8 (National Basketball Championships) and Alberta Gymnastics Provincial Championships. I'm eager to continue growing in the fields of sports media and entertainment, bringing my enthusiasm for creative storytelling, marketing, and community engagement to the industry.
