About Danielle Szaro

I graduated from Watson College of Education at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I knew that my learning was not yet complete, so I went back to get my Master's in Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in New Literacies and Global Learning from North Carolina State University. My aim is to encourage students to become leaders who believe in themselves, break barriers, and yearn to reach their full potential. I am a strong believer in growth mindset and social and emotional teaching to help students grow as independent individuals. Students who have strong core values and beliefs succeed more in academics. Our classrooms are constantly evolving with many students coming from different backgrounds with diverse life experiences. It is important for educators to teach with equitable practices to meet the needs of all students. One area of growth that we can focus on in our country's education system is financial literacy. Helping students and teachers learn about topics such as personal finance, economics, etc. is my passion! I love being able to work alongside educators and students in my community.
