Pedagogy can be puzzling. How might instructors deploy their knowledge and expertise in the right ways, at the right times, and in the right mix while still ensuring a meaningful, engaging student experience and effectively assess student success? These questions can be notably puzzling in experiential learning, where a reciprocal balance between partner needs and course outcomes must be considered. 🧩 Who Am I? I am an Educational Developer, Experiential Learning, jointly reporting to the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and Experiential Learning Hub at Toronto Metropolitan University. 🧩 What I Do? I act as a facilitator and co-designer, supporting faculty and course instructors in the design of their experiential learning courses and course components to promote the development of high-quality, authentic, meaningful, and sustainable experiences for their students, their partners and themselves. 🧩 Why I Do It? I believe high-quality experiential learning pedagogy is equity-centred, reflective and reciprocal. Consequently, I strive to facilitate the development of equitable and inclusive experiential learning opportunities that are mindful of all stakeholder needs, produce meaningful outcomes for all and promote the positive development of personal, professional and community narratives. 🧩 Want to Connect?
