Background
About Danielle Waldron
I am an Assistant Professor in Healthcare Administration at Stonehill College. My research focuses on the health and well-being of adults aging with lifelong disability, particularly autism. More specifically, my dissertation research was on aging with autism and physical activity engagement. I am also currently employed as a personal care attendant for a young adult with disabilities. In June 2019, I completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School's E.K. Shriver Center and received a Graduate Certificate in Disability and Health from Suffolk University. My most recent co-authorship on social networks of aging with ASD can be found here: https://autismspectrumnews.org/supporting-pioneers-building-better-networks-for-adults-aging-with-autism/ From September 2015-May 2019, I worked as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Additionally, I worked as part of the federal rule making team as a Quality Research Analyst Intern at RTI International from June 2016-May 2017. In May 2015, I graduated from Providence College, where I attained my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Management and also completed pre-health studies requirements. I also interned at PACE Organization of Rhode Island in Providence, RI (Spring 2015), Internal Medicine Group in East Greenwich, RI (Fall 2014), and Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Boston, MA (Summer 2014). In January 2015, I co-authored a national report, along with Dr. Robert Hackey and Dr. Todd Olszewski. The report, a Field Network Study of the Implementation of the Affordable Care Act in New Hampshire was published through the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government.
