About Danielle Weeks

Danielle Weeks received a BS in Human Services from Northeastern University in 2002 followed by a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) in 2007. While at UIC, Danielle’s field of concentration was Mental Health, providing her with the opportunity to study, develop, and practice an eclectic range of culturally sensitive, client-centered therapeutic modalities. Danielle became a licensed clinical social worker in 2011. Most recently, Danielle was the Social Services Director at Park House Nursing and Rehabilitation, a long-term care facility for adults with severe mental illness. At Park House, Danielle coordinated clinical programming, collaborated with a multi-dimensional team to develop holistic plans of care, provided clinical consultation to counselors, performed behavioral interventions, and advocated for resident rights. As part of her position, Danielle ensured that the facility was in compliance with state and federal regulations. Prior to joining Park House, Danielle worked at Stepping Up Behavioral Health Day Program as a Clinical Therapist. At Stepping Up, Danielle facilitated group therapy which promoted self-determination, socialization, increased insight into symptomology and effective symptom management. While in graduate school, Danielle completed her clinical training at St. Mary’s Outpatient Behavioral Health where she provided individual, group, couple and family psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children. Preceding her pursuit of a Master’s Degree, Danielle worked as a Youth Program Coordinator for teen immigrants and refugees at Asian Human Services, a non-profit organization. Danielle has recently moved to the Northeast and is excited to continue her career in the field of clinical Social Work; providing client-centered, strengths-based and culturally sensitive services to consumers while expanding her professional knowledge and sharing her education and enthusiasm.
