About Danika Ward

Driven to affect positive change where possible and to open the doors of communication within aviation. I started out in aviation by working for Worldwide Flight Services and worked in many areas such as check in, baggage, gate and operations for multiple airlines including Delta, Continental, Air Transat, Zoom, Pan Am and DND to name a few. I continued on to become a Flight Attendant with CanJet Airlines, where I advanced becoming a permanent In Charge Flight Attendant followed by becoming a Cabin Safety Instructor in 2007 and St John Ambulance First Aid Instructor in 2008. I had amassed a multitude of skills and experience during my 11 years at CanJet including building monthly schedules for more than 200 flight attendants for approximately 5 years, I instructed for 6 years both Flight Attendants and Pilots (CRM and Emergency Procedures Training) as well I instructed Aviation First Aid to Flight Attendants from coast to coast. In 2014, I started my career in management at First Air merged with Canadian North 2021, I continued to build on my repertoire of skills including performance management, leadership, internal customer relations, and diversity. I'm 2017 I obtained my St John Ambulance Instructor-Trainer certification. 2023 the time arrived to learn even more about the industry by joining the CBSA. I plan to continue to expand my knowledge and expertise and keep loving what I do!
