About Daniyal Shah

Working as a cashier while in school, I learned the value of customer service first-hand. Assisting customers and seeing genuine happiness on their face gave me instant gratification. This attitude has carried into my work as a Business Process Analyst in the PM Support Group at Kinder Morgan. I solve business problems for various Project Managers, PM Leadership, and even third-party vendors that are currently working with Kinder Morgan. It makes my day when a happy customer comes back to me to express their satisfaction with my work. I am known to be extremely meticulous about my work. “Winging it” is definitely not my style. Whether working on large data sets or even just making a PB & J at home, I am extremely organized and detailed-oriented about everything that I do. In my spare time, I watch a lot of movies. Hollywood, Bollywood, Korean Cinema, you name it. One of the reasons that I am fascinated by movies is because, as Film Critic Roger Ebert once said, “Movies are like a machine that generates empathy” and I truly believe in the power of empathy. From a customer asking me where an item is located in the retail store to a VP requesting detailed reports involving large data sets, my attitude towards both requests is the same. If I was the one asking for help, how would I have wanted it to be treated? From this mentality, I am able to provide the best possible assistance to them and my customers appreciate my willingness to thoroughly meets their needs without compromising on a deadline.
