About Danny Akers

Danny joined Rêve Realtors in 2020, and his commitment to finding the right properties for his clients is his top priority. A lover of the city’s colorful history and beautiful neighborhoods, he made New Orleans his home one year before Hurricane Katrina, vowed to be a part of its rebuilding, and never looked back. After a successful career in fashion retail, Danny spent several years as the general manager of ‪a popular restaurant in the French Quarter, overseeing operations and planning stunning weddings and events in its courtyard. In an effort to meld his passion for New Orleans architecture and design with his years of sales experience, he was excited to embark on a career as a realtor. Danny is a REALTOR® Licensed in Louisiana and Mississippi. Danny is committed to philanthropy and well-connected to several community and social groups including serving on the board of Project Lazarus, an organization focused on empowering those living with HIV. He and his husband Jerry Mixon live in a historic home in Bayou St John. Danny is passionate about fitness training and enjoying the outdoors with his two dogs.
