About Danny Cheresnick

I'm a meteorologist whose goal is to find ways to maximize the positive impact weather information can have on people and the environment. Across my career in the meteorology industry, I've worked hands on with weather instrumentation, data collection and analysis, technical writing, operational data delivery, customer relationship development, marketing, and product development, with a few years as a research scientist collecting data on tornadoes that was filmed for the Discovery Channel show Storm Chasers mixed in as well. Specific current weather interests are increasing the impact of weather information to improve people's lives and road weather/road surface condition forecasts and the impacts on autonomous vehicle operation, route optimization, vehicle safety, fleet navigation, and in-vehicle information. And using my meteorological expertise to optimize the number of powder days I can ski each winter :)
