About Danny Fitzgerald

As a Financial Analyst at The MITRE Corporation, my responsibilities include providing hands-on support to IR & D Principal Investigators and Research Program Leaders. In this fast-paced environment, my role includes project and portfolio planning, roll-up reporting, trigger-based variance assessments, and soft-landing support. I am especially interested in continuing to develop and grow with this exciting, innovative, and socially purposed company. As an analytical, organized, and proactive team player, I have a passion for helping others and lifelong learning, and am motivated to have an impact on society. As a recent graduate of The Catholic University of America, I look forward to bringing my academic finance and sales focus to my career endeavors. The Busch School of Business has prepared me for success in my career both academically and through volunteer and organizational endeavors, as I was an active participant in the Dean Student Advisory Council, the Busch Mentorship Program, and the Vita Per Virtutem Honor Society. I bring a team player enthusiasm to my career and personal journey. I'm proud to have been a team captain of the Catholic University baseball team, actively helping the team earn its first-ever bid to the Division World Series in 2022 and being recognized as an All-Tournament Team pitcher in the 2024 postseason. More importantly, I recognize the important lessons that I take away from the baseball field. As a pitcher, I was forced to fight through nerves and high-stress situations to get the job done. I focused on leading by example, consistently bringing an exceptional work ethic and consistent positivity. My coaches described me as a "fiery competitor and tremendous teammate" and I look forward to continuing to deliver that mentality to my career now and in the future.
