About Danny Govedar

I am an IT Professional currently working for MLSE in the Digital Labs department servicing and supporting the enterprise's devices, users, and technology infrastructure. I troubleshoot issues and find solutions. I regularly work with our cybersecurity team and am a first point of contact for incident response. I also often work with the Toronto Maple Leafs technology lead in IT servicing and deployment. I work with a variety of tools and frameworks, including AD, 365 Admin, Entra, Azure, SCCM, JAMF Pro, Cisco Secure Endpoint, Cisco Telephony/VOIP/AWS Connect/Engage, AWS, Archtics, Cisco ISE, Infloblox, Oracle, and more. My team works to keep the engine of technology running. We help bring fans to their feet and we help our teams have the tools that they need to succeed, and to win championships. Prior to this I spent eight and a half years with Geek Squad at Best Buy and finished by leading Best Buy Canada's flagship Geeksquad department at their largest store. I spent years working with technology, working with senior leadership to pilot and develop practices and programs, and trained teams in multiple locations. Both MLSE and Best Buy have shaped my career and have provided invaluable experiences. I graduated with Honours from McMaster University with an expertise in International Relations, Global Affairs, and National Security. I developed skills in writing, analysis, research, communication, organization, and time management. My academic focus centers around conflicts in societies, geopolitics, and emerging threats. My goal is to one day combine my knowledge of global affairs and national security with my skill set and experience in IT, Cloud, and Cybersecurity.
