Dr. Danny Hyun had played the role of Head of Advanced R&D and AI and BigData Laboratory in Samsung Electronics, and now serves as a Head of Customer Experience (CX) and Corporate vice-president from 2020. His main work areas are as the followings - Application and Picture Quality processing processor design : His team developed Neo Quantum Processor and Deep Learning based SuperResolution algorithm for Samsung SmartTV- Interaction device and method for video, music and game : His team developed solar cell remote for Samsung Smart TV - Recommender system based on Machine Learning and Statistics : His team developed Popular and Personlaized Live TV, OTT, Art, Game Contents recommender system for Samsung Service- Deep Learning based object recognition and classificiation : His team developed object recognition for Picture Quality Enhancement and Gesture interaction inside Samsung Smart TV- Generative models for contents creation : His team devloped Ambient mode and its original contents for Samsung Smart TV- Predictive and presecriptive analytics for supply chain managment and market forecasting He and his team has been applying machine learning techniques to enhance and differentiate Samsung smart tv and digital signage, also has contributed in creating the new type of life-style screen such as The Frame. His other interests are - New Business and Product Planning - Robot Vision ans SLAM - Gaming and Video streaming platform - 3D modeling and processing and has published more than 20 international technical papers and US/EU patents.
