About Danny Koik

Danny is the Executive Director and Head of Partnerships, Product, and Project Management Office (PMO) at The Walt Disney Company. He is responsible for the successful launch and growth of Disney+ across Southeast Asia—Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines—where he swiftly secured a leadership position in the SVOD market. Danny also manages all strategic partnerships, subscribers & revenue targets for Disney+ and is part of the executive leadership team, shaping the strategic business and product directions. He joins Disney from Grab where he was the Regional Director of Partnerships, overseeing Technology, Media and Telecommunications, FMCG and Mobility Services. He was also the Country Head of Business Development in Myanmar. Prior to that, he was in International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, where he served as Technology, Media and Telecommunications Divisional Director, spearheading the internationalization of Singapore companies. He has also held roles in the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), leading key initiatives in evangelizing the mobile ecosystem across Singapore, and in Mediacorp, where he transformed the traditional media business from analogue to digital and built a Digital MediaCorp campus at Riverside Point. Danny has a deep passion for education where he kickstarted his career teaching at Taonan School and volunteered his time to developing and teaching new media programmes at Northlight School. As a professional, Danny enjoys engaging the industry and is a strong advocate of start-ups as he takes pleasure in seeing them grow and being competitive. Danny is widely known for his ability to think out-of-the-box and provide creative solutions in his approach to work and personal life.
