About Danny Konijn

At the age of 23 I started to work for Tebodin BV in Beverwijk as a junior CAD designer. After 7 years and working on a lot of different projects throughout the Netherlands it was time for me to move on. I started to work for Astraco Water Engineering in Sassenheim. This small but innovative company developed systems for the filtration of cooling- and waste water throughout the Benelux. At Astraco I developed myself as a more independent designer/constructor. Due to the high level of education of my colleagues I was highly stimulated to start studying again. Unfortunately after three years Astraco was taken over by Paques Water Engineering in Balk and I had to quit. I found a job at a private engineering company named Rocad Engineering in Koog aan de Zaan. For this company I worked at both ADM factories in Koog aan de Zaan en Wormer. After 5 years I started to work for Advin in IJmuiden. After 5 months I was detached at Danieli Corus BV in Velsen-Noord. Again 5 months later and after multiple requests of different project managers and project engineers I decided to switch and left Advin to work for Danieli Corus where I work now for almost 11 years.
