About Danny Leong

Danny is currently the Strategic Adviser at MoonStone Advisers & Ventures. He is also a Member of Advisory Board for SiniSana Sdn Bhd and VirtualTech Frontier Sdn Bhd as well as the Independent Non Executive Director of Privasia Technology Berhad. Prior to this, Danny Leong was - Chief Commercial Officer at Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd (2023)- Group CEO at Revenue Group Berhad (2023)- Group CEO at GHL Systems (2016 - 2020)- Group Head - Strategic Planning at GHL Systems Berhad (2015 – 2016)- Chief Executive Office, Malaysia at GHL Systems Berhad (2014 – 2015)- Chief Executive Office at e-pay (M) Sdn Bhd (2010 – 2013)- Group Chief Executive Officer at Cuscapi Berhad (2006 – 2010)- Co-founder and Executive Director at Adeptis Solutions Sdn Bhd (2003 – 2006)- Senior Manager at Accenture Malaysia (1994 – 2003). Danny has more than 29 years’ experience in leading and driving growth in companies across ASEAN from various industries, notably Payments, Telco, Consulting, Automotive and F&B Retail POS. He has also been the Group CEO for three public listed companies (GHL Systems Berhad, Revenue Group Berhad and Cuscapi Berhad) as well as the Co-Founder of Adeptis Solutions Sdn Bhd. In these roles, Danny’s main focus was to formulate and execute long-term strategies to ensure sustainable profit growth for the business. This was successfully done by employing innovative, non-traditional best practices, deploying the right resources and being agile to change, evolving quickly when required. Danny was responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to his management team to enable them to build best in class products and services, strong strategic partnerships, distinguishable brand presence, sustainable operational capabilities whilst ensuring good compliance practices and corporate governance. He also managed shareholders, external stakeholders and regulators to ensure timely and accurate updates are provided at all times. Danny holds a degree in Accounting and Financial Management from University of Essex, UK and he was awarded the Emerging Entrepreneurs Award for Outstanding & Exemplary Achievements in Entrepreneurship in 2007 as well as the BrandLaurette Brand Leadership e-Branding Awards in 2020.
