About Danny Middleton

I aspire to empower individuals and to make positive difference in my community. I have been in the recruitment industry for over 20 years. I have worked for both the private and not for profit sectors responsible for all aspects of industry recruitment and supply of staff for industry needs. I have over 18 years’ experience in the Employment Services industry and have extensive management experience in this field. I am currently employed with ETC and have performed numerous management roles including Team Leader for 3 sites Toormina, Coffs Harbour and Maroochydore, Community Engagement Manager, Operations Manager, and my current role Youth Engagement Advisor. Prior to working for ETC I was employed by BEST Employment Ltd managing 3 sites Armidale, Moree and Walgett and was also acting Regional Manager for Gwidir Namoi Employment Region. I take great pride in my work, and am results driven and extremely motivated to positively contribute to my employer’s performance. I have the proven ability to consistently achieve high performance in whatever role I have been employed in and always exceeded my KPI targets. As Team Leader for ETC’s Coffs Harbour site I archived the highest job seeker employment placements, employment outcomes and income earner for the entire Mid North Coast during the New Employment Services Trial (NEST). I was also employed with BEST Employment as Social Programs Coordinator and founded and coordinated the BEST Community Shed and the BEST Food Garden in Inverell NSW. Both these community benefit activities have won numerous awards and are still operating today. I was honoured to receive the 2017 Australian Citizen of the year for my charitable work for my contributions to the Inverell and surrounding communities. The BEST Food Garden is a socially inclusive community benefit activity. Produce from the garden including fresh eggs is harvested, packed and delivered weekly by people with disability, free of charge to over 100 low-income elderly pensioners and Aboriginal Elders in Inverell, Glen Innes, Moree, and Tingha. The BEST Community Shed is charity Op Shop established to create the opportunity to grow a stronger, more socially inclusive community. Items of furniture clothing and homewares are donated by the local community. These items are then sold through the retail outlet and 100% of the profits go back to the community. Prior to working at BEST Employment Ltd I was the Personnel Manager for Bindaree Beef and was responsible for all recruitment and disciplinary procedures for 800 staff
