About Danny Shi

As a Computer Engineering student at the University of Maryland, I've cultivated a diverse skill set through coursework and hands-on experiences. Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C, MIPS Assembly, and OCaml, I've also gained practical knowledge of software tools like MATLAB, Unix/Linux, and GitHub. In lab classes, I've honed my abilities in breadboarding, utilizing Agilent oscilloscopes, and navigating circuit simulation tools within Cadence. Additionally, I've gained expertise in working with Arduino microcontrollers. My involvement with the Terrapin Rockets Team has provided invaluable real-world application of my skills. As a member of the Avionics Sub-team, I contribute to both hardware and software development for our rocket, with a focus on projects centered around the master control board and ground station. This role has allowed me to expand my proficiency in areas such as C++, PCB development using KiCad, and soldering techniques. I'm passionate about leveraging my expertise to contribute to innovative projects and eager to explore new opportunities in the field of engineering.
