I am often asked "Why forestry?" The answer is simple: forestry makes a difference. As a student at Clemson University, I have studied the art, science, and business of this great field and discovered that forestry has a greater impact than just the $21 billion dollars that it brings to South Carolina. It is a culmination of our past, present, and future to sustainability manage our natural resources. I have been a part of this ideal throughout my college career by interning with multiple companies and governments that have allowed me help manage and sustain natural resources. In my undergraduate career, I have gained experience in numerous sectors of forestry including timber, fire, public outreach/education, Geographic Information Systems, forest inventory, property maintenance, and leadership.
