About Danny Trejos

Worked as a Network and Wireless Infrastructure Assistant for two years in the Telecommunication company Worldcom of Costa Rica. I was in charge of analyzing the network implementation of new clients, selecting the router protocols, configuring the routers, switches and wireless devices and making sure there was communication between points. In the OnCall times I had to monitor the network and in a case of an outage I had to troubleshoot it, find and fix the issue if the problem was logical, and/or configure the devices if the problem was physical. During this time, I was interested in the top three layers of the OSI model and then jumped to work in a software solution provider, Ex2OutCoding. Worked as a QA engineer for 5 years in the financial industry. Ran functional testing, performance testing, regression testing, API testing and more. Owned two products that were part of a Stock Market Web Cloud application and a Desktop application. Both projects ran under the Scrum agile methodology. Participated in the scrum planning and backlog meeting, story estimation, daily scrum, scrum review and retrospect meetings. Planned, designed, developed and executed test cases based on the acceptance criteria of every story in the sprint. Automated the smoke test of the application using ‘specflow’ to make sure the main functionalities still worked in the news builds after implementing new code. Learned that time management and tasks distribution were key to keep both projects delivering new functionalities on time. I am currently studying for the Scrum Master certification and the ISTQB certification. Also, I am continuing my studies at the University level. I am learning Selenium by my own.
