About Danny Wong

Mr.Wong holds a Bachelor’s degree(HK) in Computer Science and a Master degree (USA) in Software Engineering. During his Master degree studies in California (Santa Clara) in 2002-2004, he co-founded ‘bookandsave.com’ - an online bookstore; it was his first e-Commerce business. After returning HK in 2004, he started his career in HSBC. In the first four years, he started to work as a COBOL developer on COS (Cheque outsourcing) in Payment and Cash Management (PCM). He developed significant expertise in system design, CICS and various ERP integrations. He helped to build an offshore China team (8 people). Then, he invested two years in Global production support on incident management, problem investigation and reporting to senior management on a Global payment channels in HSBC. Then, he was promoted as team leader of eCommerce Channel - 10 people (2 of HK, 8 of China). The following two years, he became an IT project manager of Direct eChannel on project planning, cost management, monitoring and software delivery. As a certified ITPM (PMP) on global projects, he had to work with global teams across USA, Canada, UK, Australia and ASP (HK, China, India etc). Then, he has been working as Business Analyst for 4.5 years covering various areas in eCommerce on Commercial Banking including direct channels, online Banking, Mobile and automated customer on-boarding. In parallel, he has a short-term assignment in Canada HSBC (Vancouver) to perform the Payment Transformation programme in Agile. Besides, he is the ASP champion in the portfolio work group to manage the project prioritization, assignment, effort sizing for eCommerce global projects. I am willing to relocate to strive for different opportunities
