Employed within the Federal Public Service with Public Works (PSPC aka PWGSC) since October 2021. Acting as a technical review consultant for Other Government Departments (OGDs) including application of the Federal Government's Greening Strategy. Registered as a professional engineer with APEGA since September 2020. Previously registered with EGM (formerly APEGM) from May 2010 to Dec 2021. Previously was employed with ISC from Sep 2017 to Oct 2021. Oversight of large infrastructure projects including schools, water treatment plants, wastewater lagoons, and renewable energy systems (solar, geothermal, biomass district heating) ranging from $3M to $110M. Worked in Engineering Consulting for 11 years, prior to joining ISC. In addition to continued technical training, throughout my career I have completed courses in the areas of project management, contract law, communications, and psychology. I have been able to apply my learning from these courses in the real world to further strengthen and diversify my problem solving experience. Outcome: I am detail-orientated, a quick-learner, and well-rounded At ISC, I assumed the role of the funder on behalf of the First Nations (the Owner) in Manitoba. I worked with the First Nations to develop RFQs, RFPs, Terms of References (ToRs), and Owner’s Statement of Requirements (OSRs) which were then posted to MERX to solicit bids. I provided financial and technical oversight of the Project Managers, Design Consultants, and Contractors that the First Nations hire to complete these projects. I saw the project through from RFP development to award to final completion. Many times this sequence occured in multiple stages (feasibility, design, construction). While working at ISC, it became apparent that my experience in consulting, coupled with my strong organization, communication, and people skills, has resulted in successful project delivery and positive feedback from my manager, First Nations, consultants, and colleagues.
