Clinical background working in NHS for 31 years with most of that time in clinical or senior management roles within cancer and palliative care, leading clinical teams and service redesign. Have always been passionate about improving care and services for people with cancer.Have led service redesign and transformation locally and nationally collaborating with service users, NHS providers, third sector and industry. Have remained on the NMC register as passionate about nursing and my role in advocating for nursing in cancer care.Excited about advances in technology and cancer treatment for the impact it can have on further improving treatment and preparing the workforce to embed new knowledge and technology into clinical practice. Sit on a number national workforce groups looking at transformation and education and training requirements. Interested in thinking about impact digital technology can have within care pathways and have been involved in implementation of tools to support remote care. Psychological support is another area of focused interest and sit on Clinical Advisory Board for Safe In Our World
