Background

About Dany Lacio

Passionate about building power, educating communities, and advocating for equity, I serve as an Field Organizer at PROMO Missouri, where I focus on mobilizing LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to push for policy change and systemic justice. My work centers on education, leadership development, and community organizing, with a commitment to uplifting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ voices in advocacy spaces. With a Master’s in Nonprofit and Civic Leadership & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, I bring a strategic and intersectional lens to advocacy, ensuring that grassroots movements are accessible, inclusive, and impactful. I lead Planted in Power, an initiative that equips individuals with the tools to fight for change, and I focus on cultural humility, empathy-driven organizing, and voter engagement efforts. My passion for justice is deeply personal—I believe in honoring those who came before us while challenging the systems that perpetuate harm. Whether facilitating conversations, leading GOTV efforts, or training future leaders, I am dedicated to empowering communities to take action. Let’s connect if you’re working at the intersections of racial, economic, and LGBTQ+ justice and want to collaborate!
