About Daphne Jones

With a background in military communications and over a decade of experience in IT, I excel in bridging on-premises infrastructure with cloud-based solutions, particularly in AWS networking technologies such as VPC, Transit Gateways, NAT Gateways, and Load Balancers. My journey began as a Communications Information System Officer in the United States Marine Corps, where I honed my skills in precision, reliability, and dedication to mission success. Transitioning to the civilian sector, I've led numerous projects focused on modernizing on-premises equipment and migrating systems to the cloud. One of my career highlights includes spearheading a $42-million-dollar project for Time Warner Cable Houston, facilitating the transition from analog to digital services, and expanding high-speed broadband access across Texas. In addition to my professional achievements, I am an active participant in the AWS CloudUp program, continually deepening my expertise in cloud networking solutions. My military background instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and adaptability, which I apply to effectively resolve VPC routing conflicts and ensure seamless operations in complex cloud environments. Beyond my tech endeavors, I am also an urban chicken farmer and host a popular personal finance podcast. These diverse experiences reflect my passion for creative problem-solving and effective communication across various domains. Let's connect over coffee to explore how my extensive experience in both military communications and cloud networking can bring value to your organization. I am committed to simplifying the complexities of integrating on-premises and cloud environments, ultimately delivering secure and seamless solutions for your business needs.
