About Daphne Lim

Daphne Lim is the Group Director of Corporate Planning and Strategy at Oceanus Group, a role she has held since April 2017. In 2023, she also took on the position of CEO of Asia Fisheries, a key subsidiary of the Group. Her leadership reflects a rare ability to bridge strategic vision with operational clarity — combining deep systems thinking with people-centred execution.She supported the Group’s corporate transformation by driving initiatives related to strategic debt restructuring and the successful exit from the SGX watchlist. Since then, she has been part of the team shaping Oceanus' evolution — from a single-product aquaculture business into a diversified global enterprise spanning food, fintech, and logistics, aligned with the Group’s ambition to be Asia’s leader in food security, powered by technology.Prior to Oceanus, Daphne led a successful business turnaround at PayrollServe, where she transformed a loss-making department into a profitable one within a year. She managed a team of 30 payroll and HR professionals, serving over 300 MNC clients, and built a strong foundation in client management, compliance, and scalable service delivery.Daphne's diverse background — including her early career as an educator — gives her a unique leadership perspective grounded in empathy, structure, and continuous improvement. Her ability to work across cultures and business functions has made her an effective bridge between senior leadership, frontline teams, and external partners.She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with Law from the University of London and is an ACTA-certified trainer. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling to discover local street food and believes that it’s the small details that often tell the most powerful stories.
