Background
About Daphne van der Pol
In 2019, I successfully completed my Master Of Science (MSc.) in Tourism, Leisure, Environment at Wageningen University. My academic journey culminated in a thesis on Counter-terrorism and CPTED in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.Over the past 10 years, I've managed boutique hotels and holiday parks in The Netherlands. During these roles, I've applied skills like precise planning, crisis management, and adaptability to international environments. My roles involved a blend of qualitative and quantitative research, aligning with my academic background, to ensure that recreational offerings met the expectations of diverse audiences. Additionally, I've volunteered with several non-profit organization around the globe and I am the founder of Girlswanderlust, a blog that inspires over readers monthly, allowing me to share my wanderlust and contribute to the travel community. In my current role as recreational specialist at Dunea, I combine my two greatest passions, recreation and nature, in a wonderful working environment: Nationaal Park Hollandse Duinen. Here, I maintain and improve the balance between recreation, nature and drinking water. I am involved in visitor management, recreation monitoring and provide operational and tactical advice on various projects. If you're interested in learning more about my journey or exploring potential collaborations, please feel free to connect with me!
