I love approaching physics problems with a chemistry toolset. My PhD work at Johns Hopkins University as an NSF Fellow has focused on single–crystal device fabrication in order to probe otherwise "lost" physics. Often, materials are discounted based on their bulk transport properties; however, there exists a wealth of fabulous optoelectronic opportunities at the low–dimensional, single–crystal level.
