About Daran Smith

I drive commercial growth and secure high-value mechanical and HVAC projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe. My work focuses on winning strategically important projects, protecting margin and strengthening long-term client partnerships. I’ve led BD strategies influencing mechanical packages from €5m to €30m across data centres, pharma, life sciences and complex builds, and helped shape early-stage design decisions that directly impact cost, risk and delivery certainty.I stand out for my ability to read people, culture and market position quickly. I cut through complexity, understand the real drivers in a business, and build strategies that fit both ambition and operational reality. Whether entering new regions, restructuring BD, or building a more disciplined pursuit pipeline, I bring clarity, pace and commercial logic into environments that need direction and momentum.I operate best where trust, accountability and execution actually mean something. I work closely with Tier-1 contractors, consultants and clients to align BD, pre-construction and delivery as one system ensuring better decisions, fewer surprises and stronger commercial outcomes. If you’re exploring growth, expansion or a more strategic approach to securing high-value work, I’m open to the conversation.
