About Darby Heppler

As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Washington State University, I am passionate about providing compassionate and effective care to clients struggling with substance use disorders. I have received multiple honors and awards for my academic excellence and scholarly contributions to feminist and queer studies, demonstrating my commitment to social justice and inclusion. Currently, I work as a SUDPT Counselor at Lifeline Connections, where I engage clients in therapeutic activities, group sessions, and recreational opportunities to promote their wellness and skill-building. I also assist in conducting intake assessments, implementing treatment modalities, and documenting client interactions and progress accurately and in accordance with program protocols. I have developed strong interpersonal skills, confidentiality, and crisis intervention skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with a team of substance abuse professionals. My goal is to further develop my acquired skills and gain real-world experience while making a positive impact on the lives of my clients and the community.
