About Darcy Deane

Currently a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, Darcy Deane helps drive innovation for a digital suite of change management platforms. Darcy earned a BA and an MA from the University of Pennsylvania in Linguistic Anthropology. As a biracial, nonbinary, and neurodivergent person, Darcy is also passionate about supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in their professional and personal life. Darcy co-authored the #1 best-selling book, How Great Women Lead, with their mother, Bonnie St. John. Together they traveled around the world on an extraordinary mother-daughter journey into the lives, and life lessons, of fascinating women leaders including Hillary Clinton, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Condoleezza Rice, President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, a fashion designer, a fighter pilot, a movie star, women’s rights activists, and many more. Darcy is also an accomplished speaker, having made a variety of professional presentations including a TEDx Talk, keynotes at conferences for Fortune 500 executives, a speech at Princeton University, and a “talk back” with senior editors at the New York Times. Darcy has been featured in Essence and Teen Vogue magazines, and has appeared on numerous national radio and television shows including NBC’s TODAY Show.
