About Darcy Hegarty

Since the start of 2013 I've worked in Apple Retail as a Genius and as the stores employee trainer. I have an excitement for sharing my knowledge and experience with others. My time as the Highpoint store's trainer allowed me to pass on my skills in customer service and my passion for the Apple culture to all our new employees from their initial core training through their probation and beyond. These experiences have complimented my time as a technician. Geniuses are proficient not only with their technical knowledge but also in providing a great customer experience, conflict prevention and conflict resolution. All of which are abilities I'm proud of. As with anyone, I do my best work in areas I'm passionate about. Technology and the customer journey are two of my biggest passions and areas I wish to continue working in. My success as a Genius working in Australia and Canada lead to my promotion to Lead Genius. This role increases my responsibility with the internal and external customer experience, involving floor and repair room management, employee development and keeping a pulse on the positives and opportunities our location has with the customer experience. My journey continued with Apple for several more years in the United Kingdom before transitioning to another passion in video editing and presenting with Screencasts Online. Since the beginning of 2022 I have been producing content on apps developed for Mac, iPad and iPhone to help viewers understand their features and benefits.
