About Daria Dorshimer
I consider myself to be an outgoing person with specific goals in mind for each aspect of my life. I worked vigorously fresh out of high school to attain my bachelors of science in (history) education, and continued on for my Masters of Education in the Special Education field. I feel that my strengths are organization, creativity in teaching (and learning, as well), excellent behavior management, goal driven, and goal oriented. I have a passion for teaching; as I was hired directly out of high school, by my home school, as a paraprofessional where I worked during my time in college. As a substitute I was able to step foot into an array of classrooms ranging from regular education to self contained rooms. I believe that I found my niche around my second year of college when we were assigned to observe a special education class. It seemed to just "click." So, for the past 6 years I have been utilizing my skills and knowledge to help a wide spectrum of students through their academic journey.
