Hello, I’m Darian Phidd a first-generation immigrant and 4th-year PharmD candidate at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, with a deep passion for medical affairs and improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centered strategies. Through my studies and personal experience, I’ve grown increasingly passionate about the intersection of science, strategy, and communication which has led me to explore a future in medical affairs. I am drawn to the role medical affairs plays in translating clinical evidence into actionable insights, building trust with healthcare professionals, and ensuring therapies reach patients safely and effectively. As President of the Black Student Pharmacists Association, I champion initiatives to improve pharmacy systems, cultivate inclusive leadership, and create sustainable frameworks that support diverse, high-performing teams. These efforts mirror the collaborative and strategic nature of medical affairs, where impact is driven by empathy, data, and connection.
