As an Assistant Manager at Spencer's, I oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced, results-driven retail store that sells novelty and pop culture merchandise. I manage a team of 12 associates, ensuring that they provide excellent customer service, meet sales goals, and maintain store standards. I also handle inventory, merchandising, scheduling, and cash management, using data and bookkeeping skills to optimize efficiency and accuracy. I have a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT) from Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, which demonstrates my ability to handle emergency situations, perform lifesaving procedures, and work under pressure. I also have a passion for learning new skills and expanding my knowledge, which led me to complete two online courses on Bookkeeping Basics and Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere from Coursera. These courses enhanced my understanding of accounting, finance, and data analysis, which are valuable for any retail manager.
