About Daril Camilo

I probably started playing video games when I was 8 or 9 years old, when my mother won a Master System (very old console) at some event. I remember the first game I played was a classic Sonic. This was the beginning of my passion for games. After that, I continue playing on multiple platforms and starting to develop critical thinking about these games. Why are they good? How can they be better? Why are some of them not fun? But, as in my country and at this point in our economy working with games was not yet a good career option, I later started working with sales and commercial leadership, spending many years being one of the best in the Brazilian industry. In 2023 I came to Canada to start a new life and a new career, starting my studies at Bow Valley College in the Advanced Game Development program. Now I'm discovering my new talents as a Game Developer, and I understand which functions I'm better at than others. Making my prototypes, using many tools and interacting with our community. I discovered Game Jams and won one in Calgary, so I decided to work on giving more voice to these amazing events and maybe more visibility for the amazing game devs there by creating my YouTube channel, where I'm talking about many things in our Gaming Industry. As you can see, I am living this journey intensely and I hope to soon be one of the most influential professionals here. Stay with me and let's build something beautiful!
