Background

About Darin Foat

I'm a freelance writer, director and producer, working in television, film and themed entertainment. I have particular experience with build and renovation shows, and I specialize in finding the hidden gems in the vast amounts of footage these shows generate. If you need to make a funny, compelling scene out of four guys digging a hole, I'm your man. I'm also a skilled VO writer. I can craft just the right bite to concisely explain a complex process, and am adept at writing in the specific voice of a particular character or host. Past story producing credits include "Treehouse Masters","Flip or Flop: Nashville" and "My Dream Car." I've studied sketch writing at Upright Citizens Brigade, and wrote and directed and independent comedy pilot called "13th & Pearl," working from a story developed by my collaborator, Chris Graves. In addition to my production work, I am a trained voice over actor. Specialties: writing, directing, producing, field production, research, location scouting, voice over narration
