About Darius Cornejo

Telling stories seemed to come natural to me when I started writing at the age of 11. Now, between college, work, and coffee runs with the New York Times, I continue to absorb my environment, creating stories on paper, and in my head.I am proud to be someone who has a need to help others, using skills like communication, organization, and empathy. I dedicate my day at a local paralegal firm, striving to be the go-to assistant to the owner of the company. It truly satisfies me to be able to make at least one person’s life easier, and I am able to achieve that nearly every day by assisting our team with important tasks throughout the workday. When I leave the office, I am working towards my future as a part-time creative writing major, stimulating my creative mind as a writer, and spending quality time with my partner (my rock), and our four-legged son. As much as I dedicate time to helping others, I will stand by my values, integrity, and always be proud of who I am. I will be grateful to those who helped me get here, as well as the patience and balance they taught me. My promise to my career is to make sure my time is being dedicated to help people, whether through my writing, workplace skills, creative input, or acts of kindness. Additionally, I will always make time to be creative, to allow myself to tell beautiful, personal, and stimulating stories.Feel free to message me regarding career, internship, or volunteer opportunities, as well as for emotional support, or simply to connect with a friendly writer. Let’s be courteous, empathetic, and encouraging to each other; let’s work together.
