About Darius Maze

Darius is a certified director and fundraising professional who brings his expertise in diversity, inclusion, and social justice to community engagement and development. With over 10 years of leadership experience in the social service sector, he is deeply committed to developing and growing programs that support underserved communities who experience social isolation, systemic racism, and barriers to access. He is a passionate advocate for Diversity & Inclusion and has supported organizations across Canada to embed these values in their work and culture and holds certificates in Intercultural Studies and Leadership & Inclusion from UBC and Centennial College. He also holds a BA from Wilfrid Laurier University in History and Religion & Culture. An active member of his community, Darius has served on the boards of the Vancouver Pride Society, the Community Living Society, the New West and Surrey Library Boards, the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC, the Friends of the Vancouver Public Library, and the AFP Canada Foundation. He has also served as an advisor to the Vancouver Foundation's LEVEL program, Imagine Canada’s Standards Program, and the Canada Volunteer Awards.
