About Darius Plonis

Prof. Dr. Darius Plonis is a professor in the Department of Electronic Systems and director of Institute of Telecommunication at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). He received his Bachelor diploma of Electronics Engineering in 2008, MSc of Electronics Engineering in 2010 and doctor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree in 2014 at VILNIUS TECH. In 2017 he received an Assoc. Professor title at VILNIUS TECH. He received Professor title in 2023 at VILNIUS TECH. He was a member of organizing committee in various international conferences, such as “eStream” (2015 – 2021), (2014 – 2023). He is editorial committee member of journal “Electrical, Control and Communication Engineering”. Main research interests include electromagnetic field theory, super-high frequency technologies, microwave devices and intelligent systems. He has published more than 30 papers in reviewed journals and conference proceedings in the field of electromagnetic field theory, super-high frequency technologies, signal processing, multimedia, embedded systems and intelligent electronic systems. D. Plonis has successfully finished 5 research and development projects, is a member of the and is a Conference Coordinator and Chair of oint Branch of AP/ED/MTT Societies of Lithuania Section.
