About Dariush Daraee

I build bridges between academia and industry, helping students, professionals, and organizations deliver projects that are smarter, faster, and ready for a changing world. With over 25 years of experience in project management and procurement across large-scale EPC and infrastructure projects, I’ve led international teams, managed complex vendor networks, and learned what it takes to turn strategy into execution under pressure. I hold a BSc in Engineering, an EMBA in Strategic Management, and have been a PMP-certified professional since 2008. I’m currently completing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) focused on the strategic adoption of AI in project management and procurement. As a Course Lead and Faculty Member at University Canada West, I teach Project Management, Strategy, and Capstone courses that connect students directly with real businesses through applied learning. As an advocate of experiential learning, my goal is simple: make education practical, relevant, and industry-driven. My current focus is on AI-enabled project delivery, sustainable procurement, and organizational readiness, helping learners and organizations close the gap between knowing and doing as Canada accelerates its clean-energy and infrastructure transformation. I’m passionate about collaboration, between classrooms and boardrooms, research and execution, policy and project sites, to build a workforce and a delivery model that fit the next generation of industry. Always open to conversations around AI in project management, clean infrastructure, experiential learning, and industry-academic partnerships.
