About Darko Popovic

With over 20 years of experience in the banking and financial sector and 15 years serving as a Executive board member,I am the CEO/President of Banca Intesa Belgrade, the largest bank in Serbia and a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. I am also a Supervisory Board Member at Intesa Invest Asset Management Company and a former President of the Board of Directors at Intesa Leasing Belgrade, where I led the expansion and diversification of the leasing portfolio. I have a strong background in financial risk management, credit analysis, and strategic planning, as well as a passion for innovation and customer-centricity being in charge of both corporate and retail business. I have deep knowledge of Serbian market in all aspects. I have completed executive education programs at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School, and London Business School, where I learned valuable skills in design thinking, leadership, negotiation, and organizational transformation. My mission is to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and social responsibility at Banca Intesa Belgrade, and to contribute to the sustainable development and financial inclusion of the Serbian economy. I am always eager to learn new things, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for growth and impact.
