About Darlene McDoe

Professionally, I am a 15 year employee of John Deere, Cary, NC as a Training Development Specialist/Curriculum Developer II, with a concentration on content and course creations for Compact Utility Tractors, Attachments, and Implements, along with various other product lines from riding lawn equipment to compact construction equipment. At Deere, I also serve as a College Recruiter for NC A&T State University for the Supply Management & Marketing Recruiting Team, and national planning officer for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS), which has enabled me to travel to various cities and states within the United States teaching our dealer networks about new products that are being introduced to the global marketplace and engage and recruit talented students. I am a proud member of the Diversity Ambassadors Team and lead instructor for the weekly DEI Ally Actions Newsletter group meetings. Lastly, under my leadership, I guide/coach/mentor newly hired interns and/or Marketing Development Program employees. As for volunteer efforts and community service initiatives, I’ve served as the Corporate Chair of our REACH organization for 4 years, and as the Chair for the Employee and Development and Engagement for our Black Employee Resource Group (BERG). I’ve led 7 different sub-committees in efforts of raising campaign dollars for United Way that totaled over provided 571 backpacks for military families, as well as provided over 100 kids with Christmas gifts, just to name a few. Several entities were affected by my leadership such as United Way, Raleigh Boys and Girls Club, NC Family Programs (Military), Cary division of the Wake County Human Services, Habitat for Humanity, and Inter-Act. Additionally, for community service initiatives outside of my profession, I am currently serving in my 4th term as the local chapter president for the Theta Lambda Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, and as a trusted board member of Tools for Learning Success, as both organizations are geared towards building and fostering relationships with children in the areas of service, scholarships, education, and social awareness. This is my 2nd term serving as the chair for workshops, and center stage paneled events and discussions, for the national conference for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
