Background
About Darona Naidoo
As an Explosion Prevention Specialist at SALLAB, I apply my chemical engineering knowledge and skills to conduct hazardous area classification and equipment audit assessments, as well as project consultation services for various industries, such as sugar, oil, paint, paper, minerals refining etc. I also perform analysis of plant diagrams, sources of release, operation procedures, flammable chemicals, and electrical equipment. I complete process flow and other technical drawings using AutoCAD and other software tools. I am responsible for planning on-site inspections, writing reports, and issuing quotations, as well as developing new business opportunities.I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Durban University of Technology in 2021, after completing my National Diploma in 2019. I have gained hands-on experience in operations, continuous improvement, quality, production, R&D, and 2D draughting throughout my career. I have also completed internal and external courses on water-based paint manufacturing and Ex-motor inspection and repair. I am passionate about process improvement, product research, and attention to detail, and I aim to contribute to the safety and efficiency of chemical and related processes.
