About Darra Kubera

With a penchant for all things marketing and communications, I have experience with digital marketing, public relations, brand development, internal and external communications, event planning, social media, and content creation. I approach each client and project with a sense of passion and determination, leveraging my experience to help those I work with imagine new possibilities. I am an organized and highly creative individual, and have successfully championed marketing and communications ideas that deliver. In 2025, I won a Silver Excalibur Award for a social media campaign. I won a Gold Excalibur Award for a product marketing campaign in 2023. Each year, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Buffalo Niagara Chapter celebrates the programs, projects, and people that strengthen and sharpen the profession at the Excalibur Awards. The awards celebrate the best work in communications from Western New York’s top professionals and companies — evaluating entries based on research, planning, execution, and results. It is an honor and a delight to have received these awards for my efforts. In 2022, I was named one of ten finalists for the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership award through the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, in honor of my efforts professionally and personally to support and encourage women leaders in my community. In 2021, I was nominated for an American Marketing Association Foundation "4 Under 40 Emerging Leaders Award" for my leadership and contribution to the marketing field. I have a master’s degree focused in public relations from Buffalo State University, a bachelor's degree in marketing from Canisius University, and an associate's degree in fashion merchandising management from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
