About Darragh White

I'm a registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner and nurse prescriber working in the HSE’s Mental Health and Intellectual Disability (MHID) service, with a background in both disability and mental health care. My focus is on clinical leadership, advanced nursing practice, and finding better, more person-centred ways to support people. Alongside my clinical work, I teach occasionally at Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, helping to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. I have a strong interest in neurodiversity and in promoting neuroaffirmative practice, supporting people in ways that respect their identity, communication, and way of being. I'm also particularly focused on improving outcomes around sleep, which is often overlooked but makes a real difference to quality of life. I care deeply about improving care through collaboration, good communication, and using research to guide practice, always with the aim of making a real and lasting difference for people and their families.
