About Darrell Axani

I am the president of AC Eagle Engineering Services and is an active volunteer in Kamloops, BC. I hold a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. My personal philosophy is embedded in the principles that are cornerstones of AC Eagle (founded in 2007). These include philosophy of honesty, hard work and compassion that continue to serve clients with quality, cost effective and practical solutions. For over 30 years, I have built a legacy of experience with developers, First Nation economic development corporations and all levels of government, and municipalities. The name of AC Eagle was formed following a meeting with a client in 2007. I was on site at the Neskonlith dam intake when an eagle hovered overhead. The Adams Lake Indian Band Councilor reported that it was a sign of good luck. Thus, the name was sealed. My broad experience includes municipal engineering design, land development, Indigenous planning and engineering, and heavy construction. My experience extends also to surveying, AutoCAD drafting, construction, materials testing, contract administration and the railway. I am dedicated family man. I am married to his wife Terri, and we have a son. When not working, I enjoy playing part time chef for family and friends. I am a member our Sun Peaks strata council, am an award-winning wine maker (national and provincial), and a former member of the Kamloops Winemakers Association. My other interests including skiing, biking, gardening, and tending to my many fruit trees and vines, hiking, boating, and camping in the Shuswap. In the winter we are active supporters of the Kamloops Blazers and the Vancouver Canucks. I began working at an early age assisting with cleaning and coat check at the family’s banquet hall business in Cold Lake, Alberta. At 14, under a Young Canada Works program, I built picnic tables then went to work in the construction and landscaping industries to pay my way through university.
