Strong planning, organizing, and project implementation skills – defining project scope, goals, and deliverables; preparing detailed estimates and bids; managing timelines, budgets, and resources; and tracking productivity and costs – ensuring successful project execution from start to finish. Core competencies include: » Horticultural Gardening and Curating. As Head Horticulturist at Dauset Trails, provide complete grounds maintenance and management for acres (100 of which are intensively managed), including irrigation, pruning, and fertilization, as well as weed, insect, and disease identification and control. Manage plant inventory. Design, plan, and renovate garden areas. Procure and source plant materials. » Landscape Design and Construction. At Meadowbrook Gardens, designed and built commercial and residential landscape projects – site preparation, irrigation, hardscapes, water features, lighting, trees, plants, and turf. Served as the main point of contact between the client and production team. Collaborated with the project staff and subcontractors to ensure timely completion. Customers included the State of Virginia and Virginia Tech. » Leadership and Community Engagement. At Dauset Trails, supervise staff, students, and volunteers. Participate in public education, outreach, and special events. Teach seven special needs high school students every Tuesday.
