About Darrell Meehl

Darrell is a Principal and the Director of Government Client Services for The LA Group, Landscape Architecture and Engineering, P.C. Having worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs for over 30 years, he has extensive knowledge of the VA's guidelines and standards. He has directed all of the LA Group’s 150+ National and State Veterans Cemetery Projects as well as numerous VA healthcare projects. In addition, he assists in business development for all federal and state pursuits nationwide. Darrell is a 1984 Graduate of The Ohio State University with a BSLA. He is a licensed Professional Landscape Architect. Darrell has 40 years of experience in design and project management of federal, state, and municipal projects. Recent professional experience includes the design and construction of the new Western New York National Cemetery (near Buffalo, NY), the new Pikes Peak National Cemetery (Colorado Springs, CO), and expansion projects at South Florida National Cemetery (Lake Worth, FL), Florida National Cemetery (Bushnell, FL) and at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (Bridgeville, PA). Member: American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Awards: ASLA Honor Awards for Saratoga National Cemetery, Alabama National Cemetery and Washington Crossing National Cemetery; ACEC Grand Award for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Phase 1A.
